Faced with a seemingly impossible mission: design, manufacture and install state-of-the-art perimeter security for 12 nuclear power plants in 9 states within 90 days, Kontek Industries rose to the challenge.

(In April 2003, the NRC issued three security orders that mandated nuclear power plants to implement more stringent security measure by October 29, 2003).

In an unprecedented 90 days, Kontek Industries designed, manufactured and installed 6,000 state-of-the-art delay access barriers in 12 nuclear facilities in 9 states ahead of schedule.

Mission completed. All 12 nuclear facilities in nine states met the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Oct. 29th deadline. The installation of state-of-the-art critical infrastructure protection products increased the nuclear facilities' defensive capabilities against attacking forces. All 12 facilities were extremely pleased with the high quality, on-time performance of the company.
