Due to its size and nimbleness, Kontek is big enough to successfully complete massive and complicated projects throughout the United States and at the same small enough to be able to quickly respond to multiple changes to project specifications.

Kontek's financial partnership with The Tokarz Group, LLC, a leveraged buy-out and investment banking firm with investments worldwide, gives it the needed financial wherewithal to rapidly respond to market forces that affect the homeland security and telecommunications sectors.

As a result of a 2004 $2.4 million grant from the Department of Defense for blast mitigation and perimeter protection testing and development, Kontek Industries partnered with the University of Missouri. This partnership is centered around an interdisciplinary research, design, test, and evaluation team composed of the Rock Mechanics and Explosives Research Center and the Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering at the University of Missouri-Rolla, and the Department of Architectural Design and the National Center for Explosion Resistant Design at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

R and D Department has developed innovative solutions to the various and new threat continuums facing both the federal government and the private sector.
