Kontek Industries Awarded LAMAS Contract

Schedule Will Allow for Direct Sales of Modular Buildings to Louisiana Government Agencies

New Madrid, Mo. (March 23, 2006) — Kontek Industries, one of the technology leaders in homeland security and force protection products, announced today that it has been awarded a Louisiana Multiple Award Schedule (LAMAS) contract (Contract No. 406414). The contract for modular, prefabricated, pre-engineered buildings and structures allows Louisiana government agencies a streamlined way to purchase and find the products and services that they need.

"We are very pleased to be awarded this contract. For a small and fast-growing company like ours, it is the quickest and easiest way for Louisiana state agencies to purchase our products," said Don Utz, president of Kontek Industries. "This is another addition to the federal, state, and local agencies throughout the United States who purchase our specialized products and services."

Kontek's state-of-the-art prefabricated shelters are tested to the highest ballistics and bomb blast standards, as well as category 5 hurricane and 250 mile-per-hour wind standards. The company has provided these shelters to numerous government and private-sector entities worldwide.
